  Welcome

Cheyenne Village is the premiere organization in the Pikes Peak region providing a comprehensive array of services for people with developmental disabilities such as autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and mental retardation. Cheyenne Village was opened over 40 years ago and is the only locally founded and governed nonprofit of its kind in the Pikes Peak Region.

Our Goals

Provide safe and affordable housing and staff support in group homes, apartments and host homes.

Teach basic skills so individuals can live as independently as possible.

Provide transportation for medical appointments, jobs, recreation, and other activities.

Maintain or improve the health of individuals served by Cheyenne Village.

Help enrich lives by encouraging volunteer and recreational activities.

Provide services to augment existing family or caregiver support.

Cheyenne Village provides 24/7 comprehensive services for adults with developmental disabilities and goes above and beyond what Medicaid and government funding provides.

In addition, Cheyenne Village offers supported living services to individuals who have the ability to live somewhat independently or who have family members who are the primary caregiver.

Examples of the types of services provided are: healthcare assistance, financial management, and benefits coordination.
